Dear Papa,
You are the God who listens and answers.
You won't fail to come through.
You are in the delays.
You are in the waiting.
You are with me in the inbetween.
Your timing is always merciful...
Today, as I was spending time with the Holy Spirit, He revealed to me that I have agreed with the lie of perfectionism and the resulting hyper-vigilance. I don't know if you've ever felt like you always need to compete, be perfect, or constantly be looking over your shoulder. But this is a prayer for those of us who struggle in this area. It's time to break off those agreements with lies, and believe the truth about how God sees us. Enjoy! //
Dear Papa,
Somewhere along the line I learned to take care of myself.
I felt the need to always be looking over my shoulder.
I began to put the magnifying glass on my own mistakes,
rather than on Your perfection.
Please forgive me...click to see the rest of the prayer.
Dear Jesus,
You are the Breaker that goes up before me.
You are at the head, leading the way.
You open a door for me that no one can close.
No matter what strength I have,
You keep Your Word, and fulfill Your promises.
You make waters in the wilderness,
And streams in the wasteland.
You trample upon serpents
and shut the mouths of lions...
We declare our dependence on You. //
We stand grateful for the freedom to worship and honor You openly. //
Be Healing and Hope to our veterans. //
Breathe courage and protection over our troops. //
Break forth wellsprings of compassion and unity in our homeland; //
For every race, every color, and every creed. //
Bring peace and rest to every nation; to your world. //
We. Need. You...
Today, I want to share a poem/prayer I wrote
in response to an anonymous poem called, "Stray."
You drew a line, a line in the sand.
You wrote it in blood, the love of The Lamb.
It can't be revoked, removed, or undone,
The Lamb who was slain conquered and won.
Depression must bow, despair must retreat.
Shame has been pierced, it falls at Your feet.
